Carnage: Mind Bomb #1 (Red Foil Cover) – A Collector’s and Investor’s Psychopathic Prize
Unleash the madness with Carnage: Mind Bomb #1 (1996), a one-shot featuring the iconic Red Foil Cover. This Marvel Comics gem, delving into the twisted psyche of Cletus Kasady, is a must-have for collectors and investors seeking a low-print-run key with strong market potential.
Key Appearances
Written by Warren Ellis and illustrated by Kyle Hotz, this February 1996 issue explores the deranged mind of Carnage (Cletus Kasady) at Ravencroft Sanatorium. A psychologist attempts the impossible—rehabilitating Carnage—while uncovering the forces driving his maniacal bloodlust. The story, set post-Maximum Carnage, recounts Carnage’s origin: his bond with the symbiote spawned from Venom via a wound. Key characters include Carnage, with references to Venom (Eddie Brock) and Spider-Man. The issue’s violent, introspective narrative and Hotz’s gritty art, paired with the striking Red Foil Cover, make it a standout.

Current Value
The Red Foil Cover, a low-print-run first printing, commands $20–$50 in NM (Near Mint) condition on eBay, with some listings noting “error” foil flakes adding rarity ($50–$125 NM). CGC 9.8 graded copies fetch $145–$240, with a CGC 9.6 at $75–$130, reflecting high demand for this key solo Carnage issue. By comparison, non-foil reprints like True Believers: Absolute Carnage – Mind Bomb #1 (2019) sell for $5–$15 NM. The Red Foil’s scarcity and iconic status drive its value, with a CBCS 9.8 recently listed at $145.

Expected Value and Trends
Carnage’s enduring popularity, fueled by Venom: Let There Be Carnage (2021) and Venom War (2024), positions this issue for growth. Low-print-run ‘90s keys with foil covers often appreciate 50–100% within 3–5 years, as seen with Venom: Lethal Protector #1 ($50–$200 NM). By 2027, NM copies could reach $50–$100, and CGC 9.8 copies may hit $250–$400, especially with Venom 3 (2024) and potential X-Men ’97 Season 2 (2025) symbiote crossovers boosting interest. Grading delays (ongoing into mid-2025) and limited supply may further elevate prices. The issue’s status as Carnage’s first solo book and its gritty narrative ensure long-term demand.

Why Invest?
Carnage: Mind Bomb #1 Red Foil Cover combines rarity, historical significance, and artistic intensity. The low-print-run foil cover, Ellis’s raw storytelling, and Hotz’s visceral art make it a collector’s prize. Ideal for fans seeking a key Carnage issue or investors eyeing the symbiote surge, this one-shot offers strong upside. Secure it now to capitalize on Carnage’s chaotic legacy and the Red Foil’s collectible allure

Fit my 2018 CRV 1.5 turbo
I’m not a car expert, my maintenance expertise involves air in the tires, adding oil and washer fluid, and these filters. Found a video to show me how, it was easy. These fit my car, and I don’t see any difference in these and the filters they replaced, except of course, these are cleaner. Very happy.

Good Fit for 2025 Honda CR-V EX-L
Very happy with purchase. Fit like a champ. Be prepared to work to change the engine air filter. It is more about Honda's design the the filter itself.

Very durable and quality produced.
These filters seem very durable and quality made. The air filter looks exactly and feels exactly the same on the factory filter and very easy to replace. The cabin filter was also very easy to replace. This cabin filter feels a lot heavier and higher quality than the factory OEM. Be sure the rigid sides of the filter will fit on the left and right side when installing. If you try to install the filter with the information written on it facing out, then the cover will not fit properly. When the filter is in place correctly, the cover will be easy to put back in place. Both filters seem very durable and quality made.

Perfect fit
I started changing my own filters about 10 years ago when I realized how much I could save, and how incredibly UNcomplicated it is. Anyone can find super easy instruction and videos on YouTube. Obviously some cars differ, but I've yet to find one that isn't as easy as replacing batteries in a remote. These filters are the exactly same size, and are made from good quality materials that are equally as good as the OEM filters I pulled out of my 2025 Honda CRV Gas vehicle. They're wrapped in plastic, so they're as clean as an be when you get them. It literally takes less than 10 minutes to switch out these filters, so you're saving a bundle by doing it yourself! Compared to having a dealer do it, this is a super great value, as they not only charge for labor, they probably charge twice as much for the filters themselves. So far, I have had any issues with air flow, and have not gotten any weird warning signs, so clearly they're functioning in the same way the dealers parts do. I mean, they look and act just like the parts already in the vehicle, so I don't expect any issues.

Easy DIY replacement
This engine and cabin air filter kit was an easy and worthwhile replacement for my vehicle. Both filters fit exactly as expected and matched the originals in size and shape. Installation was quick and straightforward. The cabin air filter slid right into place, and the engine air filter seated properly with no gaps or bending. Airflow immediately felt improved, and there were no warning lights or fitment issues after installation. The filters appear well made and sturdy, not flimsy or overly thin. It’s convenient having both the engine and cabin filters included in one kit instead of purchasing them separately, especially for routine maintenance. If you drive a compatible CR-V or Civic and want a simple, cost effective DIY replacement, this kit does the job well and saves time.
